Junior Club Champs

The Junior Club Championships are normally played immediately after Christmas each season on Sunday afternoons with trophies awarded for each age group.

The age groups for club champs are:

10 Years and Under
11 and 12 Year olds
13 and 14 Year olds
15 and 16 Year olds
Open Grade (17 and above)

In addition we also play for several other trophies -

Under 14 Mixed Doubles

Normally played on a Saturday morning just before Christmas. All matches are played up to 21 Points with partners drawn out of a hat from all players present on the day.

Under 18 Mixed Doubles

Normally played on a Saturday morning just before Christmas. All matches are played up to 21 Points with partners drawn out of a hat from all players present on the day.

Non-Interclub Tennis Trophies

To encourage all our younger members we have short tennis trophies at stake for boys and girls singles and doubles. All players not in teams are eligible to play with all matches first to 21 points. The trophies are played for at the end of the season. These trophies are played for by participants in the 10.45am group.

PeeWee Tennis Trophies

Introduced for the first time in 2001/02, these trophies are solely contested by our 9.00am group where we experienced tremendous growth last season. All 9.00am group juniors play with all matches first to 21 points. These trophies are played for at the end of the season.

Parent/Child Tournament

This is one of the highlights of the season, which will be played on a Sunday morning prior in November. All matches will be first to 21 points and with separate competitions for interclub and non-interclub junior members. To be eligible to play, parents do not have to be members of the Club so come along and have an enjoyable morning.

The dates for all of the above events will be notified in the junior handbook that is handed out at the start of the season, and junior newsletters throughout the season.
